Gillies Cottage is in the heart of the heritage village of Bangalow and provides you with all the comforts of home. It is in the perfect position to explore both the coast and the hinterland as it is just 10 minutes drive from the beaches and Byron Bay and situated 2 minutes walk from restaurants, shops and cafes.

Gillies Cottage dates back to about 1910. It is a charming weatherboard cottage that was completely renovated in 2000. It is decorated with a fresh colour scheme and polished floors and its furnishings include Indian and Australian antiques.

The cottage sleeps a maximum of 4 people in two bedrooms each with a queen size bed (with electric blankets for winter warmth.) The large and comfortable kitchen/dining room has hand-crafted benches made from local timber and is fully equipped for all your cooking needs.

There is a CD player/radio to keep you entertained and a gas heater for chilly winter evenings. The sitting room, with comfy sofas, has TV/VCR and a selection of books and videos. The bathroom has a corner bath with shower and features a hand-crafted timber vanity. French doors from the morning room open onto a timber deck overlooking the back garden and park.

Inland from Byron Bay, Bangalow nestles in picturesque green rolling hills. Its pretty high street is home to some wonderful cafes and restaurants and an array of interesting and eclectic shops. The colourful once-monthly market (on the 4th Sunday) is not to be missed.
